Toyota Tacoma with K&N Cold Air Intake |
K&N's 63-9037 cold air intake system is designed to be easily installed with a few simple tools and a little time. The 63-9037 air intake system comes with all of the required components needed to bolt on an additional estimated 8.6 horsepower at 5100 RPM and 8.5 ft-lb or torque at 3700 RPM to this bad boy without modification to the body or engine bay.
Cold air intake 63-9037 comes with an aerodynamic air intake tube that is engineered specifically for the Toyota Tacoma V6's computer and mass air sensor setup so the stock mass air sensor can be transferred without hassle or the need to reprogram the computer. The other main components include the K&N RF-1042XD high flow air filter and a powder coated heat shield. The heat shield is designed to help keep the nice outside cold air that helps the engine perform from being heat soaked by the hot under hood temperatures. In addition, the air intake system also comes with application specific brackets, crank case vent hose and fitting, as well as all of the hoses, hose clamps and hardware needed to install.
The major benefit of the K&N reusable air filter is that it's designed with K&N's highly efficient oiled cotton media, meaning that this air filter will do the job that is needed to protect your engine from harmful dust in the air. Due to the design of the RF-1042XD air filter, drivers can go up to 100,000 miles between cleaning, depending on driving conditions. To clean the RF-1042XD air filter just follow the 4 easy cleaning steps or watch the cleaning video. If you dive in dustier than normal conditions and find that you need to clean the air filter more often, then K&N also offers the RF-1042DK (black), the RF-1042DL (blue), the RF-1042DY (yellow) and the RF-1042DR (red) air filter wraps. These wraps will extend the filter's service life while adding little additional restriction.
In addition to the high quality and long lasting components, the K&N 63-9037 cold air intake system is backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty, meaning that your intake should last for the life of your vehicle.
