Ford Super Duty F250, F-350, F-450, F-550 Diesels Add 16.4 HP with K&N Air Intake Kit

Ford met the heavy duty truck buyer market with its Super-Duty Line. Their stronger-than-ever F-250 and F-350 diesel have more payload and towing capacity. K&N has developed an air intake system (57-2576) for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4 liter V8 Diesel engine, the 2008 to 2010 Ford F-350 Super Duty with a 6.4 liter V8 Diesel engine, the 2008 to 2010 Ford F-450 Super Duty with a 6.4 liter V8 Diesel engine, and the 2008 to 2010 Ford F-550 Super Duty with a 6.4 liter V8 Diesel engine.

K&N dynamometer testing shows a 16.4 horsepower gain at 2600 rpm and a 33.6 lbft gain of torque @ 2500 rpm. This is more than an 8 percent increase in torque compared to the original intake for improved towing and passing power.

Street Legal Horsepower & Better Engine Sound for 2010-2014 Camaro SS

AEM offers two performance air intake systems for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS 6.2L V8 models. AEM Camaro SS air intake 22-679C differs from the alternate AEM cold air intake system available for 2010-2014 V8 models because AEM designers chose to retain the use of the stock air filter box. Designing AEM cold air intake 22-679C around the stock air filter box allowed AEM Intake designer to retain all factory connections, including stock emissions control equipment, to create a 50-state street legal air intake system. There are additional benefits of retaining the stock air filter box such as keeping inlet air temperatures, and air / fuel ratios within factory specifications. Plus, utilizing the stock air box maintains the use of the factory cold air inlet near the front wheel, without exposing the air filter to the elements. Not only that, but installation is incredibly easy compared to the alternate AEM air intake for 2010-2014 Chevy Camaro SS 6.2L models. The only tool required to install AEM cold air intake 22-679C is a screwdriver.

Testing revealed that the factory maze of accordion like intake tubing, and noise baffling adds a substantial source of restriction to the stock Chevy Camaro SS air induction system. Included in the AEM cold air intake system for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS 6.2L V8 models is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube which helps to overcome the restriction found in the stock air ducting. Restriction isn’t the only trouble with the stock air intake as it also creates turbulence in the incoming air. The mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube used in 22-679C has a smooth and consistent internal circumference for reduced airflow turbulence. Reducing restriction and straightening airflow allows the Fifth Gen Camaro SS V8 engine to breathe easier. To complement the under hood appearance of the 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro 6.2L V8 the intake tube is protected with a durable charcoal gray powder coat finish that will look great for years to come. An added benefit of the AEM mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube is that it will eliminate the stock intake tract resonator. This will give 2010-2014 Chevy Camaro SS 6.2L V8 models a more aggressive engine sound.

AEM Dryflow air filters are performance designed to reduce restriction over typical paper air filters. The AEM 2010-2014 Chevy Camaro SS 6.2L V8 cold air intake includes AEM Dryflow replacement air filter 28-20434. Using an AEM Dryflow replacement air filter helps to reduce the restriction inherent to using a stock disposable air filter. AEM Dryflow air filters are built with a non-woven synthetic air filter media to help increase airflow, and provide outstanding engine protection without the need for air filter oil. AEM Dryflow replacement air filters are washable and reusable and can even go up to 50,000 miles between cleanings under normal highway driving conditions. When it comes time to service the air filter, cleaning can be easily completed using the AEM air filter cleaner 1-1000. Cleaning is performed by following a simple four step process. Because an AEM dry filter does not require oil, the air filter can be returned to service sooner and with less effort.

In-house dyno testing shows that the AEM 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS 6.2L V8 cold air intake produced a surprising estimated 10 horsepower and 7 lb-ft maximum increase at the rear wheels of an otherwise stock 2014 Camaro SS 6.2L. By simply reducing restriction, and improving airflow the AEM performance 2010-2014 Chevrolet Camaro 6.2-liter V8 cold air intake system is able to improve horsepower and torque delivery across the entire RPM range.
