These cold air intakes are available in two different durable finishes which protect the intake tube from scratching and oxidation. The 21-713Phas a powder coated polished aluminum tube and the 21-713C has a powder coated gunmetal gray tube. Both intake tubes are 3 inches in diameter and include a reinforced attachment point with a thick 3/16 inch steel bracket in order to provide extra strength.

Each air intake includes an oil free air filter (21-203DK) that is washable and reusable, preventing you from the need to purchase another air filter in the future for this AEM Nissan Altima air intake. The air filter’s large surface area protects your engine by providing excellent filtration, and when used with the AEM air intake system, allows your engine to breathe easier and produce more power. It can be easily cleaned with the AEM air filter cleaner (1-1000) and may last up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. Each air intake system also utilizes the factory mass air flow (MAF) sensor and is designed to work with the original factory vent hose as well as a few original pieces of hardware.

The Ford F150, the premiere light-duty pickup truck in America, has earned its reputation over the decades. Ford has consistently built robust, strong pickup trucks with a range of options to meet the needs of owners, from getting groceries to carrying heavy loads at construction sites. The F150 has even become a popular platform for building award-winning show trucks. Now, owners of 2004-2008 Ford F150 trucks with 5.4 liter engines can add guaranteed horsepower and sleek aesthetics under the hood with the K&N 71-2556 Blackhawk Induction performance air intake system.

The K&N 71-2556 Blackhawk Induction™ air intake system offers a blend of performance and aesthetics, without compromising either. The aluminum air intake tube helps to streamline airflow into the engine and it is powder coated black for a clean look. The tube also comes with a welded-on K&N engraved plate for a bit of flash to tastefully contrast the powder coating. A heat shield shrouds the RU-3101HBK air filter to help isolate incoming air from engine heat. The air filter is a dry synthetic filter that doesn’t require any oil, and offers excellent protection for the engine without sacrificing airflow. It’s also washable and reusable so it never needs to be replaced, and can go for up to 100,000 miles between cleanings depending on driving conditions.

Like the F150, power is part of the appeal of the 71-2556 air intake. On the dyno, the 71-2556 intake system produced an estimated additional 11.5 horsepower at 3800rpm and 15.3 pound-feet of torque at 3466rpm to the wheels. This system removes the restrictive factory resonating chambers, giving your engine a beautiful sound.

Like other K&N intake systems, the Blackhawk series was engineered to help increase horsepower and torque in the Camaro. The intake works by creating a direct path for incoming air to get to the engine that is more efficient than is what is available with a factory air box.  This particular system, according to K&N, has an estimated 17.6 horsepower gain at 5191RPM and is also estimated to add an extra 17.6 foot-pounds of torque at 3164 RPM.
